BCS realignment affects d2 cross

You're better off paying attention to the World Cup. But as the heavy-hitters from the country's big-time football programs cut deals and wring their hands, it just might impact NCAA Division II cross country.
Now that Colorado is in the PAC-10, that invites some mouth-watering matchups between the Buffs and the Ducks. Would Oregon come to Boulder for the Rocky Mountain Shoot-out? (You know where this is going...)
The Shootout is primarily known for the unofficial D1-D2 contest, i.e. Adams State and Western State against Colorado. It would be great to have the Ducks in on that, too.

  1. But I bet that Western and Mines are going to OSU Jamboree, because that is one of the meets on their online schedules. Western does have the Shootout listed, but they will send their top guys to OSU adn the rest will go to CU. Adams does not have their schedule up yet but I would put money on them heading down to Stillwater. So it looks like the Shootout is no longer the primer race for the top D2 schools.

  2. Jason - There is more chance of hell freezing over than Oregon coming to the CU Shootout. They wouldn't even let Adams into their meet in their backyard.. and your talking about them leaving the comfort of Eurgene to come race at altitude!!

Also I think Adams may go to Razorback this year with Nationals being in December.
