D2s big weekend: Columbus State's Koyaki the top contender.

A few, quick impressions:
Adams State put 4 in front of Western State's No. 1 at the Rocky Mountain Shootout. But Western was without its Tylers.
But the Western State women were surprisingly close to No. 1 Adams State.
The No. 3 Alaska-Anchorage women bested No. 5 Chico State at Willamette.
The No. 3 Colorado Mines men solidly won (well, best D2) at the Louisville Classic.
And individually, Columbus State's Meshak Koyiaki beat Micheal Crouch (Queens) and Daniel Kirwa (Harding). Is he now the favorite?
More analysis to come...

  1. Chesetto of AK Alaska also rocked this weekend posting a 23:18 while beating U of Portland's stud Trevor Dunbar.

  4. I know a win is a win, but I wouldn't call Mines 17 point victory over GVSU in a meet with 36 teams and 323 finishers a solid victory. By the looks of it, it could have gone either way and more importantly both teams might have what it takes to atleast "compete" with Adams.
