South region: Harding the big fish here

I am wading into some unfamiliar territory here. I am, however, familiar with Daniel Kirwa and Coach Steve Guymon’s Harding University. Expect national champ Kirwa and Guymon’s charges to dominate the men’s race in Huntsville, Ala. And a steady Florida Southern should nab the second spot.
Tampa, which ventured north for the Paul Short Invite at Lehigh, Penn., and held its own against D1 Florida and Florida State, clearly leads the women’s field. Hosts Alabama-Huntsville will likely edge Harding for the second women’s spot. My best guess at the individual battle pits Huntsville’s Jennifer Cherono against Tampa’s Heather Nicolosi (pictured), who won the Gulf South Conference race by about a minute!
